The benefit of buying an already shaved skin is that you can see for yourself the quality of the skin and how it will look when placed and tightened on your drum, and it saves the maker the job of shaving the skin. The lack of hair also means the drum is less susceptible to moth problems.

These calf skins have been especially selected by our friends in the ballets of Conakry. They will give your djembe the dominant sound which is more and more sought after. Please note these skins are suitable for experienced players only, due to the extreme stress placed on the hands of the player.

These skins are already cut into appropriate sizes for each of the 3 drums in a doundoun set. Please state the size you require (diameter).
